Mrs. B, a North Korean, was forcibly sold to a Chinese farmer by her smugglers. To support herself and her family back home, she turned to drug trafficking. She eventually smuggled her husband and sons into South Korea and joined a group of illegal immigrants to reunite with them. After a perilous journey, she was intercepted by South Korean intelligence upon crossing the border. Her life then took an unexpected turn, far from what she had envisioned.
